Abstract: Intellectual property (IP) encompasses original works and innovations created by individuals or organizations. It is a broad term that refers to various legal rights granted to the creators or owners of intellectual assets. These rights provide protection and control over the use and distribution of their creations. Legal systems around the world acknowledge and uphold intellectual property rights to encourage innovation, creativity, and economic growth. These rights enable creators to have exclusive control over their work, allowing them to reap the benefits of their efforts. Copyright is one form of intellectual property right that safeguards original artistic, literary, and creative works. It grants creators the exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, and display their work. Trademarks protect distinctive signs, symbols, or logos that distinguish goods or services from others in the marketplace.
