Storage reservoirs and overhead tank are used to store water, liquid petroleum, petroleum products and similar liquids. The force analysis of the reservoirs or tanks is about the same irrespective of the chemical nature of the product. Tanks are designed as crack free structures to eliminate any leakage. Design of square and circular tanks is done using STAAD.Pro having the same height and same length of side of square tank and radius of circular tank. Design is done in order to find out the maximum values of displacements, moments and forces acting on the tanks and comparing them. Results obtained of absolute maximum value can be used by engineers to design the structure for ultimate load design of beams and column.en_US
