dc.description.abstractIn the present study experiments were carried out to measure the flow structure and turbulence characteristics around circular pier on rigid bed under clear water condition. The pier comprised of pier diameter 110 mm. Experimental run was conducted in which Acoustic Doppler Velocitimeter (ADV) was used to measure the instantaneous velocity components, turbulent intensity components and Reynolds’ stresses at the central line of the pier in the upstream plane and downstream plane. The result of upstream and downstream are therefore presented herein.en_US
