Abstract: “PLANT KEEPER” is an automated plant maintaining system with moisture and light energy sensing. Our project focuses on this very field by modernizing the methods of watering the plants and managing the availability of proper sunlight. This will be done by using appropriate sensors like Soil Moisture Sensor for detecting moisture content in soil and light detecting sensors (like LDR) to check the availability of proper light for the process of photosynthesis and proper growth of plant. We intend to automate the process of watering the plant based on the moisture level of the target soil and also regulate the intensity of light fixture based on the parameters suitable for the target plant sample. A soil moisture sensor will check the moisture content in the soil so as to check whether watering is required or not. A light detecting sensor will check if there is a requirement of light for the proper growth. Thus, a lamp connected to the board will accordingly increase or decrease its intensity to provide proper light to the plant. Connection to the authorized person through mobile connectivity to send SMS informing about the condition of plant at regular intervals
