Abstract: Water quality analysis is the crucial part of environmental engineering. Water plays the most important role in all the fields. Domestic purposes and industrial purposes are the normal stream uses of water but as it comes to societal uses it stands with an important impact on the living beings and aquatic lives. Water is the prime source of the energy and should be examined thoroughly before being used. Analysis of water is a wide range of practices. Physical, chemical, microbiological and biological parameters are needed to be determined for the well-being of the breathing people around. Our project constitutes of 17 water samples- surface water, ground water and spring water. These water samples have been arranged in a manner that represents the downstream flow of water. It starts from Tattapani and ends at Solan. This project manages to withhold the fact that water used for drinking purposes are not fit or in other words apt for consumption and these parameters should not be overlooked.
